The Shimano Speed Master XTD features a series of upgrades to the original design. Now coming with a strong lightweight C14+ main body, and utilising their Rigicast technology. They also have upgraded and improved internals with Shimano's Hagane drive gear and silent drive system. They make an ideal pairing for rods between 11 to 13ft and with a high 4.3;1 ratio drawing back 103cm of line per turn of the handle. With line reducers included you can spool up with both mono and braided reel lines without needing a huge amount of backing for thinner lines.
